Bagheera

The inspiration for that was kinda unexpected to me. I passed a wekend babysitting a group of Cub Scouts [link] when i remembered about the teachings they had that were largely based on "The Jungle Book", and i remembered that the Akela (cub scout's leader) asked me a year ago to do some drawings of the book's characters to the kids. Guess what? the drawings were not a big success, but i got myself thinking: so what if i did anthro versions of the book's characters?
In the end, i decided to make a different thing: i redesigned completally the character, and also made major changes on the story, trying to imagine how would it be if i had created it in the first place.

And i came up with this: Bagheera, the black panther.

Some of you may know the story, and may also know that the Bagheera of the book is a male. I know it.
But, like i said, this is a redesingning exercise, and also, i only discovered that it was a male moments before i started drawing, and i would never trow away such an idea!

So, now to the story!

Bagheera is a cunning and hideous warrior that inhabits the jungle. She is a master in hiding in the shadows, and also in hunting. She cary many Chakrams on her body, but only go meelee with the biggest of them. Her biggest enemy is Shere Khan, the tiger, that is the only one in the jungle that refuses to accept her strengh.
Despite this warrior soul, Bagheera is a friendly and loyal guardian of the jungle, that may have a word of help to those who come to her .

As obviously stated before, I do not hold any rights over The Jungle Book and it's characters, and this is a mere (gasp) fanfic.

So what's next? should i draw her fighting Shere Khan? or maybe draw someone else from the book? Who knows!
