"And here I am. I'm still alive. I did all I could to stop the war, and now I'm afraid that my heart will stop first. Something i did in a haste during a boring and useless english class.

This is Laya, from Frozen Heart. Laya does love a man, but she may never be with him. She rather it to be like this, cause if he did love her in return, the pain of watching him go to the war would have been unbearable. Also, her "sin" is that this lover is in truth her sister's lover.
